We weren’t just for Fashion Week in Paris. We had a whole weekend full of sports, because Nike invited Caro and me to join the #WeRunParis race, get to know some really new cool stuff and have some trainer runs with the Nike Running Club in Paris! We arrived on Saturday, the day before the race, to see the new collections and -of course- test it. You can already find the new AeroReact innovation in the stores: The Fiber of the sweater opens when you sweat and closes, when you don’t – to keep the warmth. This means: you feel comfy AND dry while you workout! How cool is that?
After we heard the whole theoretical part we were able to test it on our own. Every participant got their running gear (beautiful bright colors, right?) and we wear ready for our evening run.
Just a few minutes before we started our run the two top athletes Pascal Martinot-Lagardeshame and Kévin Mayer (on the left) told us (in a VERY charming way) about their experiences with the new material and why they love it.
Finally we were allowed to run on the streets of paris! Those tights are btw with tiny reflector points and are just perfect for night runs! Even the top shines bright at night thanks to it’s color. The new Nike Air Zoom Structure 19 are till now my favorite running shoes so far. I feel so safe in them and run faster than in every other shoe!

Can you imagine a more beautiful running route than along the Seine and the Eiffel Tower? Me neither! It was one of my favorite runs so far. Paris is just magic by night and I get a little bit melancholic if I look at those pics again. We run together wit the Nike Running Club Paris through the streets of Paris, did a few exercises and chatted – A LOT.
After the run the whole team was invited for dinner in the amazing Palais de Tokyo. We went ways to late into bed – the alarm in the next morning startet at 7.00 am and there it was. The big day in Paris: #WeRunParis ! 10 Kilometer on parisian streets and we we could not wait the race to start.
Of course you wear black in Paris. So who wonders that also the running shirts were black? I have never seen this color for an event like this, but I have to admit: I loved it! 15.000 people (finally also men were allowed to run the Nike race(s)!) registered to run the race. 15.000 ! That’s even for Paris an enormous number.

We started in the centre of Paris at the Opera. To be honest: I expected more. No Eiffeltower, no Louvre and almost no other sightseeing point that would have made the race so much easier. Instead we run in wavy lines through the city. At least Paris has beautiful architecture almost everywhere, and so I watched whilst running the charming little balconies and doors. 😉
See you soon Paris!
