Allein der Name Paris erfüllt mich immer mit Freude. Für mich ist die Hauptstadt Frankreichs ein perfekter Ort um dem Alltagstrott in München zu entfliegen, aber gleichzeitig fühlt es sich immer wie Heimat an. Sobald ich mit dem Zug (oder dem RER vom Flughafen) die pariser Innenstadt erreiche fühlt es sich an als wäre ich nie weggewesen. Der Geruch, die Sprache, die Architektur- ich glaube es gibt kaum eine Stadt die so wunderschön ist und einen solchen Flair ausstrahlt. Ich glaube seinem Bann kann man sich gar nicht entziehen?
Das letzte mal als ich mit Magdalena in Paris war haben wir einen kurzen Run durch das Montmartre im Regen gemacht. Dort hat man eine atemberaubende Aussicht über Paris- vor allem vom Sacre Coeur aus! Gefühlte tausend (ich glaube nicht nur gefühlte!) Treppenstufen hoch und runter haben mich fast getötet, aber mit Trainingsbegleitung, die dich begleitet & unterhält vergeht auch das anstrengendste Workout wie im Flug.
Solltet ihr einplanen in nächster Zeit nach Paris zu fahren packt unbedingt eure Laufschuhe ein (die kann man ja auch super für Sightseeing oder Shopping anziehen- je nachdem wie hübsch sie sind 😉 ) um an einem Tag Paris laufend zu erkunden. Nicht nur um das Sacre Coeur im Montmartre kann man super laufen, gemütlich und wunderschön ist es auch an der Seine entlang. Und da hat man auch nicht all die Stufen- aber hey: der Hintern wird es danken!
English: Beeing in Paris fills my heart always with joy. For me this city is the best place to escape from my everyday life but it also feels like home. The last time I went there with Magdalena we also did a short run through beautiful Montmartre in the rain. You have an amzing view over Paris and Sacre Coeur. The thousands of stairs up and down the hill almost killed me, but with a trainbuddy you can chat with, even an hour climbing stairs time elapses so fast. And also pausing for pictures helps a lot 😉 If you plan to go to Paris pack your running shoes (you can also use them for sightseeing or shopping – depending how „cool“ they are :P) and explore for (at least) one day the city by jogging! Even along the river Seine you have also such a beautiful view and can run for kilometers. Plus you don´t have all this stairs. I rediscovered Montmartre last year while siyatng there for work and fell completely head-over-Sacre-Coeur in love with it! If you stay away from the tourist throngs and explore the tiny side streets, it’s like going back in time to turn-of-the-century Paris. The fabric stores are fabulous- and full of Australians buying bolts of Parisian silk taffeta for their interiors. (So cheap and the easiest thing to make a room look Parisian.) And the classic bistros (such as those you’ve photographed so beautifully) are also gorgeous. (The one featured in the film A Very Long Engagement‘ is particularly lovely.)I believe the whole area and nearby Pigalle is going through a revival Pigalle is being pinpointed by many hip hotels and cashed-up Parisian thirty-somethings as a place to buy property -and it’s not surprising. When you consider how pretty Montmartre is, it makes sense that it would become The New Left Bank‘. (Although I think it was the original Left Bank to begin with!)
